Refund Policy

Refund Policy for The Edit Lab

1. Deposits and Booking

  • A [25–50%] non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your project date and begin pre-production work.

  • This deposit secures your spot and covers time spent on initial planning, communication, and any pre-shoot coordination.

2. Cancellation Policy

  • Client Cancellation:

    • If canceled 14+ days before the scheduled production date: Only the deposit is retained.

    • If canceled 7–13 days prior: 50% of the total project fee is due.

    • If canceled less than 7 days prior: 100% of the total project fee is due.

  • Producer Cancellation (that is, you): Full refund of all payments, including the deposit, will be issued unless rescheduling is mutually agreed upon.

3. Refunds After Work Has Begun

  • Once filming has started, no refunds will be issued.

  • For editing-only projects, once post-production has begun (after the first edit is delivered), no refunds are issued.

4. Dissatisfaction or Revisions

  • Client satisfaction is a priority. The project includes [1–3 rounds] of revisions as part of the agreed package.

  • If the client is still dissatisfied after revisions:

    • A partial refund (up to 25%) may be considered at the producer’s discretion if the project has not been delivered in full and both parties agree to terminate.

    • Once the final deliverables have been provided, no refunds are offered.

5. Acts of God / Force Majeure

  • In the case of illness, natural disaster, or other unforeseen events that prevent production, both parties will attempt to reschedule. If rescheduling is not possible, a full or partial refund will be considered based on work completed.
